Second Circular

2003 Symposium of the Chinese Astronomical Society (Taiwan)

Condensed Matter & Physics Building, National Taiwan University, Taipei
April 18-19, 2003

As part of the 2003 Assembly of the Chinese Astronomical Society (Taiwan),
this symposium will serve as an annual meeting for astronomers and
astrophysicists in Taiwan to exchange their ideas, to present their recent
research, and to promote their collaborations. In addition to contributed
presentations, we are also pleased to announce that Prof. Norio Kaifu from
NAOJ and Prof. Paul Ho from ASIAA will join us to give two invited talks,
and Dr. Masato Ishiguro (NAOJ) is also invited to give a special report on
the ALMA project. The Program Committee sincerely invite you to participate.

We call for oral and poster presentations in all fields of astronomy. Since
other activities of the Assembly will be held on April 19, all invited talks
and oral presentations of this symposium are scheduled on April 18. The
poster display starts from 9:00, April 18, and ends at 17:30, April 19.

2. Registration and abstract submission:
            Please register and submit the abstract of your paper at
    <http://www.astro.ncu.edu.tw/casweb/cas92/2003symposium.htm>
    by March 20, 2003. The registration fee is 500 NTD, which should be paid
    on site. If approved by the Council Meeting of the Society, the annual
   membership fee can be waived for those who pay the registration fee. When
  submitting your abstract, please state whether you intend to have an oral
  or poster presentation. The Program Committee reserves the right to make a
   decision because of the restriction of time allocation.
